When I found Millie to care for my only son, I found a God-send. She loved and cared for my son Adam as if he was her own. My son was in Millie's care full-time from when he was a year old until he "graduated" and went on to kindergarten. At that point, I started working part-time and could be home when he got home from school.
Since I have an only child, it was very important to me that he feel loved and special when I could not be with him. I wanted someone who not only was running a daycare business, but felt a personal attachment to each and every child she cared for. That is Millie.
Millie limits the number of children she cares for so she can devote special time to the children and give them the best care and love she can possibly give. She watched over them and taught them how to love one another and enjoy life. Millie always did special things with the children she cared for. She took them to Yellow River Game Ranch to see the animals, she took them on outings to the park and had special celebrations for each child on their birthdays. Her care for her children was personal, fun-loving and heartfelt.
Here's an example of Millie's dedication to the children she cares for and their families: for several years while Adam was in her care, Millie videotaped special times and ordinary times to share with parents what they would otherwise miss in their child's everyday lives. This was her Christmas present to each family. To this day, the tears stream down my face when I watch these videos. I will forver cherish the love and care Millie gave my son throughout the years.
